My first yoga playlist

Like riding a bike or taking a step, there is some visceral memory of the first time you make a yoga playlist. At least, that's my conclusion having just uncovered my first yoga playlist, and found it remarkably similar to the one I came up with a few days ago. It's like my body remembered liking to move to these songs without my brain really knowing it as a fact. So, you'll see some similarities to the earlier post this week. What was nice, however, was remembering some goodies that I had forgotten. Thanks, iPod for holding so much memory, literally and figuratively!

My first yoga playlist

Comtine D'un Autre Ete- Amelie

Sukhasana (Easy Pose) 
Gentle Twists in Easy Pose
Fold forward in Easy Pose
Adho Mukha Svanasana (Downward Facing Dog). Hold for 5-10 breaths

Je suis jamias alle- Amelie and Um, Circles and Squares- Dosh

Lift one leg in Downward Dog, drawing circles with the knee for hip opener
Step through with leg for low lunge
Bend and straighten front leg
Parvottanasana (Intense Stretch)
Virabhadrasana III (Warrior III Pose)
Virabhadrasana I (Warrior I Pose)
Repeat steps 3-9 on other side 
Adho Mukha Svanasana 


On and On- Jack Johnson 

Uttanasana (Standing Forward Fold)
Come up into Ardha Uttanasana (Pike Position) and release back into a deeper version of Uttanasana or Pada Hastasana(Hands to Feet Pose)
Utkatasana (Chair Pose)
Tadasana (Mountain Pose)

Step back into Revolved Lunge
Virabhadrasana I
Take the forearms together in front of your chest, elbows to hands pressed together tightly (it should look like an unwound version of Eagle/Garundasana arms), still holding Warrior I
Inhale raise arms (still pressed together along the whole forearm), exhale to lower
Repeat for 5 breaths, lifting and lowering
Inhale, raise arms as high as you can while still pressing from elbow to hand, and hold for 5 breaths
Exhale to Virabhadrasana II (Warrior II)
Vinyasa to Adho Mukha Svanasana
Repeat steps 11-25
