Sunday Morning Yoga
A weekend off, staying at my folks' house for a wedding, lazy Sunday morning. 45 minutes of yoga before the house woke up, French Toast, and Farmer's Market (trying to keep all things beginning with the letter "F"). Lazing around the house, heading back to Ithaca after an early dinner. Nothing like a Sunday.
Sunday Morning Yoga
Sunday morning is a state of mind.
- Child's Pose
- Adho Mukha Svanasana (Downward Facing Dog)
- Long hold in low lunges, pulsing back knee towards floor. Repeating on both sides
- Downward Facing Dog
- High lunge, playing around with hip placement, working on squaring hips
- Repeat steps 4 and 5 on other side
- Uttanasana (Forward Fold)
- Utkatasana (Chair Pose)
- Urdhva Hastasana (Upward Hand Pose)
- Forward Fold
- Downward Dog
- Warrior I. Still playing around with hips. Keeping back leg strong and straight.
- Repeat 11 and 12 on other side
- DD
- Repeat steps 7-14, seeing how things can develop in the Warrior
- Tadasana (Mountain Pose)
- Chair
- Garundasana (Eagle Pose)
- Repeat steps 17 and 18 on other side
- Forward Fold
- Chair, slowly lowering to seat/floor
- Urdhva Navasana (Upward Boat)
- Roll back to Wheel (Urdhva Danurasana)
- Repeat steps 22 and 23 two more times
- Supta Baddha Konasana (Reclined Bound Angle)
- Reclined spinal twist. Repeat other side.
