A brave attempt at Bakasana (or Crow Pose). I swear my arms got straighter than that.
... and now for something completely different.
This is Chris doing a headstand. Considering the heaviness of his hiking boots and the crazy wind, I say good form.
Some poses that go well with Headstand, Crow, and seals:
- Vajrasana (Diamond Pose)
- Simhasana (Lion's Breath)
- Maha Mudra (Great Seal)
- Jana Sirsasana (Head to Knee Pose)
- Parivrtta Janu Sirsasana (Revolved Head to Knee Pose)
- Repeat steps 3-5 on other side
- Yoga Mudra (Seal of Yoga)
- Knee-down Tadasana (Mountain Pose)
- Parighasana (Gate Pose)
- Repeat steps 8 and 9 on other side
- Tadasana
- Standing Yoga Mudra
- Gentle chest opener with interlocked hands
- Kripalu Ardha Chandrasana (Kripalu-style side stretch). Take arms above head, interlocking fingers, stretch side to side
- Utkatasana (Chair Pose)
- Uttanasana (Forward Fold)
- Uktanasana
- Tadasana
- Utkatasana
- Flow between Mountain, Chair, Forward Fold, Chair, and Mountain, warming up the legs
- From Utkatasana, flow into Bakasana (Crow)
- Ardha Virasana (Half Hero Pose). Repeat on other side
- Virsasana (Hero Pose)
- Supta Puvana Muktasana (Reclined Wind Relieving Pose). Repeat other side
- Ananda Balasana (Happy Baby Pose)
- Bakasana. If you are very comfortable in crow, try moving from Crow into a tripod headstand and back down
- Garbasana (Child's Pose)
- Sirsasana (Head Stand Pose)
- Savasana
