Summer Solstice 108 Sun Salutations
An annual tradition in many different places I have lived is to complete 108 Sun Salutations on the Summer Solstice. The number 108 has significance across many cultures. Shiva Rea wrote a quick, sweet article about that number's significance specifically to yoga here. To practice 108 Sun Salutations I would recommend taking as many breaks as you need, drinking a lot of water either awhile beforehand or afterward, and-- of course!-- practicing under the sun if the weather obliges. If the repetition begins to cause pain, work your way toward the full 108 in repetitions of 12 (so maybe 36 this year, 48 next year, etc.).
