About me

My experience with yoga began almost two decades ago. Beginning with a dedicated Iyengar practice, over the years I have studied Bikram, Ashtanga, Kundalini, and Vinyasa Flow yoga. After working at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health, I now teach (primarily) in the Power Yoga style. In the past, I taught chair yoga, Vinyasa yoga, yoga for kids, and yoga for health care professionals. I have been teaching yoga, meditation, and stress reduction for ten years.

My first book, The Joy of Yoga, based on sequences from this blog, was released August 5, 2014 by Skyhorse Publishing. It has been translated into German, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, and Chinese and has been released in paperback and hardcover. A new edition, with color photos, will be released in the fall of 2017

My follow up book, Yoga Twists and Turns was released January 17, 2017. Both of my books can currently be ordered at Amazon.com, BarnesandNobles.com, and IndieBound.com. 

I also have a book about how to bring the calm of yoga and meditation into your office life: Office Zen was published in the Spring of 2017 also with Skyhorse Publishing.
